As a girl, I've learnt, even when you shut your heart out and you swear you're never going to let anyone come in, the truth is, some people can still find their way in. And those people that find their way in are usually not those who deliberately knock and try to unravel the tangled web of your heartstrings, but those who have silently and unconsciously belonged in your life throughout. And that makes things all the more beautiful.

As a girl, I've learnt, that our first concepts and abstracts of "the one" usually don't stand. Most often, the ones whom we believe to be "the one" aren't, and the ones we least believe to be, end up being "the one".

As a girl, I've learnt, that no matter how superficial the notion of setting ourselves out to attract guys may be, we all have/will go through that stage at one point of time or another. There is a joy in knowing that one is able to charm, to get a guy answering to every whim and fancy. But in the end, the love that gratifies us the most is from one we know we didn't seek to charm, but who loved us for our real selves.

As a girl, I've learnt, sometimes in moment of weaknesses, we give ourselves away in ways we regret later. It is not right, but we needn't be overly harsh on ourselves that we never forgive ourselves. We all make mistakes, and in the end, it matters not what happened, but what we learnt from what happened.

As a girl, I've learnt, there are always things you've to accept about guys. Boyish things like soccer, beer, the way they act just like idiots around each other. It's the way males function together, and it's biological.

As a girl, I've learnt, that guys aren't exactly the best communicators around. They will blow up at you over a small issue, yet their concern is not that issue, but something deeper that they can't articulate. It takes listening with your heart to understand what their concern is.

As a girl, I've learnt, to be contented. Guys show their emotions in really cute little obscure ways that don't amount to anything special. But when you think back about this, this isn't stuff that they'll do for just anyone.

As a girl, I've learnt not to over-rationalise. Not everything needs to be explainable. Not everything needs to be understood, or defined from beginning to the end. Sometimes, it is the not knowing that makes things beautiful. And thus, as a girl, I've finally learnt, the meaning of crazy/beautiful.

So, as a girl, I've learnt, you can learn everything, but still have learnt nothing in the end.
